Crisis in the Philippines: The Making of a Revolution
- Book Review,
by Epifanio San Juan

From Library Journal
At first one may question the usefulness of this work, which was written before the fall of Marcos. San Juan, a noted Philippine Marxist now living in the United States, gives a detailed overview of the Philippine situation from several perspectives. The essays deal with neo-imperialism, the Muslim community, literature, the New People's Army, women, and Filipinos in the United States. While Marcos is gone, many of the issues San Juan raises still need attention and the Marxist perspective he uses gives a very different insight than has been heard previously. Thus the work merits serious consideration for academic libraries. Donald Clay Johnson, Coll. of William & Mary Lib., Williamsburg, Va.Copyright 1986 Reed Business Information, Inc.
