The Truth about Spring Turkey Hunting According to "Cuz"

FROM THE PUBLISHER

Ronnie "Cuz" Strickland was born in Natchez, Mississippi in 1954. In his own words, "I could not have been born in a better place to learn and love the outdoors." His Dad was an avid outdoorsman who taught he and his brother early on how to function in the outdoors and more importantly how to appreciate it. His mother was not only tolerant of all the muddy boots, early morning commotion and squeaky calls but encouraged her boys to spend time outdoors.

He would also be fortunate enough to later find a wife who would also understand the addiction and together raise two daughters who appreciate the outdoors and more importantly the role hunters play in nature. Along with an outdoor addiction, Cuz inherited another gift from his father who wrote for the local newspaper. Reading about his Dad's fishing and hunting experiences was all the training and inspiration Cuz would need to start his own writing career, first for local papers and later for national hunting magazines. Writing about the outdoors comes easy to Cuz and his simple, humorous style makes it easy for people to relate to his words. In one way or another, he has lived his life outside and knows what it's like to hunt on public ground, to dress your own game, to hang your own stand and to call your own gobbler.
