SYNOPSIS

Korec recounts how he was secretly ordained as a priest in 1950, consecrated a bishop the next year at age 27, and sentenced to 12 years in prison in 1960. He was named a cardinal in 1991. There is no mention of the publication of the original Od barbarskej noci, which was translated by Peter-Paul Siska and others.
