A War Culture in Action: A Study of the Literature of the Crimean War Period

Dereli has worked as a lecturer in higher education in the UK and abroad for some 25 years. This text is based on a thesis completed for her Ph.D. at Lancaster U. Dereli explores the interpretation of events conveyed to the public about the Crimean War in the newspaper reports of 1854-1855, to provide the context for a reading of the literature of the war period.
