A Selected Reference Book of 1987-88 (Winchell/Sheehy) This has become the standard location tool for full-length plays published in collections and anthologies in England and the U.S. since the beginning of the 20th century. In this new edition, the scope has been expanded to include collections published in all of the English-speaking world. Contents total 1350 different collection titles published from 1900 through 1985. Reflecting new societal concerns, there are many new ethnic, gay, and women's plays listed.
Author Biography: Billie M. Connor ( M.L.S., Rutgers) is Principal Librarian, Science, Technology, & Patents Dept., Los Angeles Public Library. With her husband John Connor, longtime friend and colleague of the late John Ottemiller, she co-authored the 5th and 6th editions of Ottemiller's Index. Helene G. Mochedlover ( M.L.S., Simmons) is Principal Librarian in the Los Angeles Public Library's Literature and Fiction Dept., which holds the most comprehensive public library drama and theatre collection west of the Hudson.
