Author Bio: Gianni Francione is an architect from Turin, North Italy, who has been based in Southeast Asia, mainly in Bali, for over 20 years. He is inspired by a passion for tribal art and the vernacular architectural traditions of Indonesia and has designed countless tropical homes. Best known for his modernistic projects, he is a pioneer of a style of design that combines traditional materials with a contemporary vision of space. His recent books include Tropical Asian Style and Bali Modern.Luca Invernizzi Tettoni is a world-renowned photographer who has lived and worked in Asia for over 25 years. He specializes in Asian culture and art and architecture, and is intrigued not only by the contemporary developments in Asia but also its immutable traditions. Tettoni has collaborated on several books on Bali, including Bali: Morning of the World, Balinese Gardens, and Bali Modern precursor to this book.
