FROM THE CRITICS
Children's Literature - Michelle Taylor
An original format to compliment on-line resource sites, this book is a must-have for fact-based research. Several pages are dedicated to Web site links with complete summaries of site information and URLs. The book is easy to read, but in-depth information covering the endangered animal's habitat, behaviors and future make up the bulk of the text. Realistic color photographs depict the wolf in natural surroundings and maps and diagrams add to the information. A comprehensive bibliography validates and concludes the factual information. This work would be an asset to school media centers and would benefit students of all skill levels. It balances the world of text and media in a unique, exciting way. Elementary teachers might use this book for individual research or as the basis for extended learning. Secondary teachers and students would also find the book an excellent starting point for research about this endangered species. 2003, Enslow Publishers,
