About the Author Heidi Gerard Kaduson, Ph.D., RPT-S, specializes in evaluation and intervention services for children with a variety of behavioral, emotional, and learning problems. She is Past President of the Association for Play Therapy and Co-Director of the Play Therapy Training Institute. She has lectured internationally on play therapy, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and learning disabilities. Dr. Kaduson co-edited The Quotable Play Therapist, The Playing Cure, and Short-Term Play Therapy, as well as 101 Favorite Play Therapy Techniques. She maintains a private practice in child psychotherapy in Monroe Township, New Jersey. Charles E. Schaefer, Ph.D., RPT-S, a nationally renowned child psychologist, is Professor of Psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Director of its Center for Psychological Services in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is co-founder and Director Emeritus of the Association for Play Therapy. He has authored or edited more than forty books on parenting, child psychology, and play therapy, including The Therapeutic Use of Child's Play, The Therapeutic Powers of Play, Family Play Therapy, and 101 Favorite Play Therapy Techniques.
