2005 Manatees Wall Calendar

Manatees live in rivers, bays and coastal waters of the southern United States and northern South America. Florida is known to have year round population of these squeaking sea creatures. However, the Manatee (Trichechus manatus) is classified as a endangered species and continued efforts still need to be made to keep this wonderful species alive and thriving. It's also interesting to note that Manatees are strict vegetarians. The mothers embrace their young to their chests to feed them and this may be the source of mermaid legends. This delightful sea creature is a delight to see in this 2005 wall calendar.
