About the Author:

Born in 1942, Antonino Terranova is a professor of Architectural Composition at La Sapienza University in Rome where he directs the Department of Architecture and City Analysis. He is a member of the editorial staff of the magazine Rassegna di Architettura. He writes for various international magazines and is the author of several books, including The Essentials of Architectural Composition, Cities, and Plans: From City Centers to Metropolitan Landscapes and Metropolitan Monsters He is also a member of the Management Council of the National Association for Historic and Artistic City Centers and of the Building Advisory Council for the Commune of Rome. Antonino Terranova also designed Rome's city park within the ancient city walls around the capital's city center.
