Hello Gorgeous! - Book Reviews,
by Maryjanice Davidson
Hello, Gorgeous! FROM OUR EDITORS The Barnes & Noble Review MaryJanice Davidson introduces a fast-talking, shoe-loving heroine in this tale of a party girl turned bionic superspy -- decidedly against her will. The story begins nine days after Caitlyn James, proud owner of the hair salon Magnifique, dies on her 24th birthday in a limo crash, only to be saved by a strange government agency that cyborgs her back to life. Now Caitlyn is faster and stronger than most people. She would be content to be a bionic hair stylist, but it seems she owes the agency and its loathsome Boss a big favor: to bring in the only other cyborg on the planet, a gorgeous Lithuanian named Dmitri, who is suspected of a string of murders. But Dmitri looks more like a potential love object than a sociopath, and Caitlyn is able to figure it all out in between tequila shots and manicure touch-ups. Like Davidson's Betsy Taylor titles (Undead and Unwed and Undead and Unemployed), Hello, Gorgeous! is nonstop fun. Ginger Curwen
