Funding Inclusive Education (Monitoring Change in Education Series): The Economic Realities - Book Reviews,
by Alan J. Marsh
Funding Inclusive Education (Monitoring Change in Education Series): The Economic Realities SYNOPSIS This text analyzes the funding of education for students with special education needs within the context of the UK's 1988 Education Act and the introduction of the Local Management of Schools policy. The author is mainly concerned with resource allocation for inclusive education by formula funding, along with associated concerns of resource definition, management, and monitoring and evaluation. He argues that formula funding, if well designed, is more equitable than other methods of resource distribution. Annotation ©2003 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
