This book is an introduction to the major modern political ideologies. It provides a basic understanding of each ideology by systematically tracing its origins, then identifying core theories and beliefs, and expounding on contemporary trends. The text aims at familiarising the reader with the key political concepts behind the Left/Centre/Right model which underlies much media usage and public political debate.
