Children's Literature

Each of the featured animals has a fuzzy part to touch and they all feel pretty much the same in spite of the jacket copy stating that, "Each farm animal feels different." That aside, there is a statement and then a request to get the young reader more involved with the book. "I am a chick. Can you tickle my fluffy yellow tummy and say, "cheep-cheep"?" A pleasant offering for those just learning about animals and animal sounds. 2001, Little Simon, $6.99. Ages 9 mo. to 2. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
