Tad Hills adds two titles to the My Fuzzy Friends Board Books series. Die-cuts on each spread invite children to touch the animals' fur. For example, the "baby horse" in My Fuzzy Farm Babies asks, "Can you comb my soft mane with your fingers?" In My Fuzzy Safari Babies, youngsters can touch a panda cub and others. Each of the featured animals has a fuzzy part to touch and they all feel pretty much the same in spite of the jacket copy stating that, "Each farm animal feels different." That aside, there is a statement and then a request to get the young reader more involved with the book. "I am a chick. Can you tickle my fluffy yellow tummy and say, "cheep-cheep"?" A pleasant offering for those just learning about animals and animal sounds. 2001, Little Simon, $6.99. Ages 9 mo. to 2. Reviewer: Marilyn Courtot
