School Library Journal
Gr 3-6-In 12 scenes around the world, readers are invited to locate a treasure hunter as well as different numbers of objects. All are set in big houses in different countries with many people doing various things in and around them. The watercolor and pen-and-ink art is bright and almost too detailedthere are just too many tiny items for readers to find them all in a reasonable amount of time. Also, the pictures at the bottom of each double-page spread that show what is to be searched for do not always reflect the appearance of the object itself. This is a difficult find-it book that may frustrate fans of "Waldo" (Little) and "I Spy" titles (Scholastic), but it looks too young for an older audience.JoAnn Rees, Sunnyvale Public Library, CA
