The trouble is that Marvin doesn't know how his new bike works and he is terrified of the notorious Suicide Hill. When Marvin lets on that he may not be up to the challenge, kids start calling him "chicken." This humorous and wise story about Marvin's dilemma is well-written and entertaining. Kids will easily identify with Marvin and see him through to the plot's winning conclusion.
