About the Author
Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city's famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS. Margret Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany, where she met H. A. FROM THE PUBLISHER

Down at the train station everyone is busy. No one notices a little monkey—until he tries to help with the schedule board. By lending a helping hand (or two) Curious George gets a new friend, a big thank you, and a very special seat on the train.

FROM THE CRITICS

Children's Literature - Sarah Hammond

Everyone's favorite, loveable monkey is back in one of his most exciting adventures yet. In this book, Curious George takes a trip to the train station, and although he is trying to help, when he reorganizes the train locations and times, the station erupts in chaos. Once everyone in the busy train station notices this little monkey, it is too late to reverse the damage he has done. The illustrations in this book are just as amusing and detailed as they have been for years. No matter what age the readers are, they will still delight in seeing what mischief George will get himself into next. This story greatly contributes to the classic love that we all have for Curious George and his friend The Man With the Yellow Hat. 2002, Houghton Mifflin Co,
