SYNOPSIS
Hectic Hotel is a fictional account of the hotel and restaurant business,
set in Chicago. Principally aimed at workers in the hospitality industry,
it will also appeal to college-age students and frequent travelers. The
novel teaches secret culinary knowledge in a humorous setting that shows
what is really simmering with America's chaotic chefs, wound-up waiters,
and stressed-out staff. In a behind the scenes look, Northern food is
burned, Southern barbeque is not turned, Eastern seafood is bloated, while
Western vegetables are roasted, and surprisingly Canadian food is smeared,
whereas Mexican food is revered! And that is only if one can get the hotel
bed sheets changed. Beverages are addressed as well, recommending Old
Corkblower sparkling beverage while studying the unbelievable dishes that
the Brittish eat. Spotted Dick, really?
