Author Biography: MARYROSE McGOWAN, AIA, teaches in the Department of Interior Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island, and was previously a consultant to the American Institute of Architects MASTERSPEC Interiors Construction Library for more than 12 years. She is the author of Specifying Interiors: A Guide to Construction and FF&E for Commercial Interiors Projects (Wiley), as well as numerous articles published in Architectural Record, The Construction Specifier, and other industry periodicals.
