FROM THE CRITICS

Children's Literature - Karen Saxe

An elegant and sturdy board book that will appeal to parents as much as to the infants and toddlers that it is intended for. Each double-page spread features a shape with the word spelled out on one side, and an architectural element on the other. For example, there is a diamond on the right-hand page and a diamond-shaped window on the left. Not only will the young reader learn shapes, they also will be introduced to several architectural masterpieces. The photographs are truly beautiful. Also in the series are Architecture Animals, Architecture Colors, and Architecture Counts.
