Elizabeth Peters was named Grandmaster by the Mystery Writers of America in 1998. She earned her Ph.D. in Egyptology from the University of Chicago's famed Oriental Institute. In addition to the Vicky Bliss mysteries, Elizabeth Peters is the author of the bestselling Amelia Peabody mysteries.

Egad! Another adventure set in Egypt in the 1890ᄑs featuring the intrepid Amelia Peabody Emerson and her incredible entourage! The convoluted schemes of the tomb-robbing Master Criminal almost foil Amelia; then she discovers that she herself tightly furled parasol, heaving alabaster bosom and all may be the charming manᄑs target. Narrator Barbara Rosenblat does a wonderful job of portraying the characters in this comedy-melodrama. She uses tremendous vocal range and pacing to deliver the witty dialogue.
