L. A. Banks received her bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film and Media Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and children. She is currently working on her next Vampire Huntress novel.
