As Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) from 1976 to 1992, Mostafa K. About the Author
Mostafa K. Tolba is Professor of Biology at Cairo University and President of the International Center for Environment and Development, Cairo. Iwona Rummel-Bulska is an international lawyer and the Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Basel Convention, Geneva, and in the 1980s was head of the Environmental Law Department of UNEP. She worked closely with Professor Tolba during the negotiations of the major agreements discussed in this book.
