About the Author:
Edward Dmytryk is the best known as the director of more than fifty films, including The Caine Mutiny, The Young Lions, and The Carpetbaggers. He began his Hollywood career, however, as a film editor, and it is the subject he addresses in the second volume of his four-book series, On Film.
