SYNOPSIS
Chamber (U. of Kansas) and Wedel (U. of Oklahoma) divide this text into two sections. The first concerns social problem analysis and discusses problem definition, ideology, causal explanation and identification of gainers and losers. Social policy and program analysis is the central topic of the second half in which Chamber and Wedel show students how to grasp the minimum fundamental elements involved in a program or policy.
